Our Playgroup teacher:

Liz Tomacisyk
Playgroup Coordinator
Liz is a mother of three kids at Prairie Hill. Initially drawn to the nature-based aspects of the program, she began attending playgroup with her first baby nearly a decade ago. Since then, she’s enjoyed being involved in the Prairie Hill community, and her love of Waldorf education is always growing.
Liz’s previous experience as an ABA therapist for children with Autism and a Certified Nursing Assistant for people with Alzheimer’s has given her a deep appreciation of the unique characteristics, strengths, and challenges everyone has. She also has a musical background as a trombone player and loves to integrate music into playgroup. She enjoys spending time at home with her husband Jake, three kids, a dog, and several ducks and chickens.
Ms. Liz strives to use her experience as a mom and the beautiful wisdom of Waldorf education to lovingly support the families in this community. Through playgroup, she hopes to give parents, grandparents, and caregivers the opportunity to slow down and be present with their children. She is grateful to be a part of creating an experience full of wonder, nature, warmth, connection and nourishment for all the families in playgroup at Prairie Hill Waldorf School.
