Leticia Novais

Lead Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Leticia was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She lives with her husband, daughter and her dog. They love, as a family, to hike, collect wild plants, help our community with good work, cook together, crafting, play games and practice Brazilian martial arts.

She holds a BA in biology at University Center Sao Camilo, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She worked with high school students for a short period of time in Sao Paulo, but she also focused her studies in Botany and Ecology in the University of Sao Paulo. In 2014 she was drawn into Anthroposophy with her husband, then she started her Early Childhood Teacher Training at Great Lakes Waldorf Institute in 2020. During that time she worked at Spirit of the Lake Waldorf School in Duluth, MN. After moving from Minnesota she worked at Farmwise Education, at Uriel Pharmacy Homeopathic Remedies and at Humble Oak Outdoor Learning & Arts Collective.

She has taken classes through LifeWays North America, and a Waldorf Early Childhood training summer course through the Sunbridge Institute. Now, she is currently studying the Foundation Studies of Anthroposophy at Sophia Institute.

As she continues to learn about Waldorf Education she becomes more fascinated with how revealing it is of the mystery which is human development. The love and care for the child as a space holder for them to slowly gain skills and face the challenge of the world with beauty and strength.
