Prairie Hill Waldorf School awakens the capacity for dynamic thinking, creativity and compassion, inspiring children to contribute their unique gifts to the world. We offer a developmentally-appropriate, experiential, and academically rigorous approach to education. We integrate the arts and academics for children from preschool through Grade 8, seeking to inspire a lifelong love of learning and to enable each student to fully develop his or her unique capacities.
Our diverse curriculum is not limited to what's found in a book or on a screen. Experiential learning is utilized throughout the subjects to foster retention, critical thinking and creativity. Cognitive intelligence is balanced with emotional intelligence and physical movement, creating a strong foundation for adaptability and leadership.
In addition to our strong classical curriculum, our 14 acre campus provides endless opportunities for our students to take their learning outdoors. We are located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin 30 minutes west of Milwaukee and 45 minutes east of Madison, just South of I-94.
Since 1987, Prairie Hill has been utilizing an innovative approach to learning, graduating students who are capable, confident and courageous. We are a fully accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).
